Kevin and Terry McGinnis are the proprietors of McGinnis Pub. Both being from Irish descent, they
wanted to open an authentic pub with the likeness of one you would find in Ireland. The building that
is host to McGinnis Pub was originally built in 1887. Purchased in 2003, the home was in dire need
of repair to restore it to its once Victorian beauty.

The original trim and wood floors were able to be removed and salvaged during the remodeling, and then put back in place to keep the old world charm.
The restaurant was up dated to fit today’s standards but still has a cozy, homey feel. After two years
of renovation McGinnis Pub opened its welcoming doors to the people of and travelers to Michigan
City, Indiana.Kevin and Terry recently added an outdoor patio that is equipped with a beautiful stone
fireplace, granite floors and tables, and a large shade tree providing protection on those wonderful, hot
sunny days in the summer.
